Thank you for visiting my counselling website. I am Stacey Hart, a therapist, trainer, children's author and group facilitator. I have been practising for over 20 years, and I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
I provide therapy and counselling services. I am an expert on counselling for childhood bereavement and family breakdown. I am also a winner of the Family Law Award for Best Support Service which was for akidspace, a counselling service for children who had experienced family breakdown. For the last 12 years I managed all the training needs at one of the country’s leading bereavement charities. I also have worked as a trauma specialist in schools and corporations and have lectured at universities.
My vast experience belongs in grief, family breakdown and parenting, spending over 20 years as a therapist specialising in the above.
I am often asked to comment in National Press including The Guardian, The Independent, The Telegraph, Express and The Mail. I am a consultant for DK books and have written 2 titles for the online platform Thinkably.
I have made numerous appearances on National Television including This Morning and Sky News as well as being a regular on BBC Radio.

Our meeting will be an opportunity for us to experience what it will be like to collaborate together. My style is integrative, and I take a holistic approach or whole-person approach, and will help you achieve your manageable goals.
Each therapy session lasts around 50 minutes, and shall be a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, and enter dialogue to talk about any issues that are troubling you
Short-term therapy, which typically comprises 12 sessions, is usually sufficient to deal with many issues, and help you discover your potential for a healthier, happier life. Some people are better served by ongoing therapy, which can last as long as you need.
I feel that my clients can make a change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on their problems. The benefits are huge as change will be certain and constant, with emphasis on what is changeable and possible.
I believe that we all have the resources and strengths to make positive changes in our lives.
My face-to-face therapy session take place at The Forge Psychotherapy Group at 99 Stanmore Hill, just between Blossom Tree Beauty Salon and Blythwood Vets. Just look for the large wooden doors on the small white building. There is ample parking right outside.
I also conduct counselling sessions via Zoom or FaceTime, depending on your preference. As a specialist in therapy and counselling services, and an expert in parenting children with mental health difficulties, I am here to listen to your problems, and then enable you to build towards future solutions.
You can also benefit from group therapy online, through my webinars and online tools. These therapeutic groups encompass six therapy sessions, where you will be listened to and allowed to tell your story in your own time, and learn from the experiences of other people encountering the same troubles or loss. You can book a counselling session on Eventbrite for a time most convenient to you.
I am often asked for my expertise on television and in the press, on subjects such as bereavement, loss, divorce and parenting children with mental health difficulties. I’m also a consultant for DK Books, recently collaborating with Tom Tinn-Disbury on Lost in the Clouds, a children’s book on bereavement.
